Back City Woods - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
Back City Woods
What do you get when you book Back City Woods?

Authenticity: Out of Macon, GA (the heart & soul of the South), we bring a fresh take on Southern music. Featuring original songwriting, a high energy, dance worthy show, and fearlessly throwing musical curveballs like banjo, upright bass, or fiddle when the time and place is right. Your guests will have fun. BCW can rock like Led Zeppelin, think like the late Leonard Cohen, with harmonies like a 1950s barbershop quartet.

What are we up to today?

Writing songs, booking festivals for the Summer, promoting our album, and helping venues around the South make good on the promise of their dancefloors. We’ve also been featured frequently on radio -- 99x in Atlanta and the Creek in Macon.

What’s our background?

Life in the forgotten South. Our members are scattered all over Middle GA. We started playing as Back City Woods as part of the Soap Box Derby in Macon. We’ve won awards (Best new band, best album, etc.) for our albums from the 11th Hour (a nightlife publication from Middle GA), named the Atlanta Braves band of the year, opened for Drive-By Truckers, Drivin N Cryin, and created a festival in Macon called The Roots Rock Showcase.

What do others have to say?

“The Light. The Dark. The Dust,” released last year was our first full length after two EPs. This album was ranked in the top 100 albums by a Brazilian-based Americana website. We’d like to partner with you to bring our authentic Southern band to your town.
