Pip The Pansy (formerly Wrenn) - (Set time: 10:30 PM)
Pip The Pansy (formerly Wrenn)
Pip the Pansy (formerly known as Wrenn) is the freshest new wellspring of color, fashion, and sound to come out of Atlanta, Georgia. Her song-craft has the polish and drama of a writer twenty years her senior and she’s armed with a voice that can be sultry, lilting, playful, or bold. A visual arts graduate of the University of Georgia, her immaculate sense for aesthetic is apparent in everything she does from her self-produced artwork and videos to the bubblegum-chic outfits she wears on stage. In the tradition of the Athens music scene, her music can be B-52 quirky, Beatle melodic, yet fresh to the ear. Her performances, nothing less than a star-burst on stage, have attracted a larger and larger following of “Fireflies” (her term of endearment for her devoted and loyal fans).

September of 2014, Pip the Pansy entered Chasepark Transduction Studios in Athens, Georgia with two songs in hand and a simple determination to pursue a career in music. Over the next three weeks, she proceeded to write, record, and produce 10 additional songs in a creative flourish that ultimately led to the release of her ambitious debut CD, Hi. An accomplished photographer, artist, model, and classically trained flutist, Pip devoted the next year crafting a sound and look that took her from unknown to headlining act at the historic Georgia Theater in Athens. With her latest release , Apathy and Good Books , and upcoming EP, Royal Blue Daydream, Pip the Pansy continues to turn industry heads with her prolific writing, her visual command, and an overwhelmingly joyous presence.
Sam Burchfield - (Set time: 9:30 PM)
Sam Burchfield
With an honest voice, a band of buddies, and a fancy hat; Sam Burchfield has managed to make some moves at just 25 years old. His latest EP, Unarmored, digs a few layers deeper into a genre-crossing career that has only just started. From folk, to funk, to southern soul — Sam and his band capture it all on their sophomore release.

“…Burchfield’s music is soulful. That is the perfect word for it. It doesn’t just describe his genre – it describes the heart of the artist himself…”

-Emily McBride - VINYL MAG

After cutting his teeth in the indie-music hub of Athens, Georgia, Sam planted new roots in the nation’s R&B capital of Atlanta. Working as a wedding singer to pay rent, Burchfield played with some of Atlanta’s finest, meeting the likes of the Terminus Horns. Sam and the band have now made ripples in the southeast, opening for soul-phenom St. Paul & The Broken Bones, emerging pop star Ben Rector, and Athens pals Family & Friends.
Eugene Marie - (Set time: 8:30 PM)
Eugene Marie
Eugene Marie is a new electro-pop duo from Brooklyn by way of Seattle and Portland. Lucy Marie Horton’s fiercely articulated vocals and Spencer Eugene Stewart’s found-soundscapes are described as “The perfect blend of Björk’s unconventional left field exuberance and Sylvan Esso’s odd-pop earworms” (Crack in the Road).

Their debut self-titled EP combines dense pop harmonies, transcribed conversations, and unlikely synths (vacuum cleaners & screeching subways) for something “ambitious and genre-bending.” By gathering these seemingly mundane artifacts of life and putting them on a pedestal, Eugene Marie’s music creates a beautifully strange impression of Brooklyn and its people.
